control movie based on sound input

    by beatles » Fri Mar 12, 2010 7:04 pm

is there a possibility to control a movie with sound input?

i like to have a movie which automatically plays forward and backward based on the sound input. the sound input should control the movie. because of the sound input the movie automatically change the directions....

Not a good idea. What parameter of the sound should do this. Sound is too complex to trigger anything. Unless you mean sound on- clip on. Try sound controlled anima effects to understand what is possible.. But for clip triggering you need another program to turn sound input to midi messages.

There's a module called MovieTime that should do the trick. It can apply sound input to movie speed or movie time position, Or apply a random value to that las option.

    hi sigmasix

    yes, that's a way I looked for....
but perhaps if i take "random frame position" and I put this module on and off. the regular speed of this movie layer always change automatically to full speed. this effect is always if i after turn off the movieTime module...?
