The release of 3.0 beta is very exciting news and I really look forward to exploring these new versions (Mac /PC) but somehow neither will launch.

The Mac version bounces for a while and then nothing happens. I've tried uninstalling all versions and reinstalling 3.0 beta but I get the same problem. I'm a MacOS 10.12.4

The PC version starts but when I enter the serial number it loops back around and asks me for the serial number again. I'm running Windows 10 Pro on VMware 8.5.7.

Any thoughts?

Weird I have no problem to open it with macOS 10.12.4
try to clean your preferences as follows
open the terminal app then paste

defaults delete com.garagecube.MadMapper

you need to run it on a proper PC, not through VMware

PC: interesting that it woudn't run on VMware. The only software I haven't been able to run in VMware thus far has been Touch Designer. I'm assuming it'll run in Bootcamp, right?

MadMapper doesn't run fine in Parallels or VMWare because OpenGL 3 or later is not supported (or bad)

Same here.... Even setup doesn´t open on PC...

It looks like Microsoft SmartScreen is prohibiting applications that have no reputation from installing by default, even if it is digitally signed... We'll check how to solve this situation.
In the mean time, the solution is: right click on the Exe and tell Microsoft the application is "safe" !
