    A bunch of ideas/wishes

    Hey gang

Love the software — MM6 Beta is looking excellent.

A few feature requests and workflow improvements that would make a big difference in daily use:

    • Colour Picker
The ability to sample colours directly from reference images or other parts of the UI

    • Multiple Colour Palettes
Right now there’s only a single global palette. It would be great to create and save multiple palettes for different projects.

    • Rulers
Would be cool to have rulers for design, layout, referencing (similar to after effects etc) that just should up in the UI and not the output.

    • Easier Surface Transform Controls
More intuitive transform handles and snapping tools (similar to Figma or Resolume). I often accidentally move a single vertex when I intend to grab an entire edge.

    • FX Stacking
The option to apply multiple effects on a surface, ideally with an expandable FX chain/window (perhaps on the right-hand panel). Often I want to combine simple effects like blur + contrast for more compositing control.

    • Effects on Media
The ability to apply FX directly to media (blur, transform, mirror, etc.) before routing it to multiple surfaces.

    • Media Window Improvements
A version of the media window that lives in the bottom panel alongside Scenes, Cues, Control List, Fixture Editor, etc.
Being able to freely arrange, group, duplicate, and organise media—similar to Resolume’s deck layout—would streamline workflow.
(I find the cue window a bit confusing, so a more flexible, visual media palette would help.)

    • Module Request: Step Sequencer
Oscillators are great, but a step sequencer for generating control data (similar to VDMX) would open up a lot of creative possibilities.

    • Right-Click MIDI Learn
A quicker way to MIDI-bind controls. Ideally “MIDI Learn” appears immediately when right-clicking any parameter, reducing the number of clicks.

    • Beta 6 – Right-Click Keyframe Automation
Currently adding a parameter to timeline automation takes a few steps.
Right-click > “Add Keyframe to Timeline” would feel much more intuitive (similar to Ableton), especially when animating.

    • MadLaser – Cue/Material Tools
More flexible material-building blocks would be very helpful. Beyond’s cue-building system is great for designing buskable looks; MadLaser is powerful but harder to busk with in a live context. Stronger cue-building tools would make a huge difference.
Some oscilllator-like laser tools would be great.

Love the software, looking forward to MMv6!
    Thanks to the MM team.
    Cheers
    Tom
