    The MAD team.

    MM 5.4.4 Release Notes

    IMPROVEMENTS
    * Optimized modules
    * MadLaser: with vectorization / Find Pathes, consider a path smaller than "thickness" to be a beam (sometimes video compression artefacts make it a small line)
    * MadLaser: improved Soft Closing in low luminosity

    FIXES
    - Fixed updating Fixture Definition "Ignore Alpha" setting and handle undo
    - Updated ShowNET library to avoid possible crash when changing network setup
    - Fixed Record ILDA Movie

    hi
i'm having troubles exporting ilda movie both with fixed as stream frame rate,
only with minimal stuff like 'simple beam scan' material from cz/frz,
may you please advise some settings i'm surely missing out?
it's saving like a good frame every 100 black, and no Laser Render, Path filtering, Path Limit variables looks changing it.
fps out and input are the same. it's perfect before exporting...
    thanks a lot

    Hi,
This is not a known issue.
Can you reproduce it with MadMapper 5.5.4 ?
What are you using to playback the ILDA movie ?
What if you import the ILDA movie in MadMapper ? Does it playback correctly ?
    Thanks
    Kind Regards

    Hi,
    i'm working in v5.4.4
i'm using this function (export/import ilda)
because i'm working on a show in timecode,
where ableton sends osc to madlaser shader's parameters,
and some scenes are generated reltime from soundreactive third party software, than vectorializing in mad madmapper.
so i was having some tests of exporting ilda movie, for the final playback, the duration of a song for examples,
reimporting them and triggering them from the light consolle.
so , for the reruns of the show, only madmapper will be there.
if you try cz/frz's shader 'simple beam' with really few points you can replicate the issue, it happens with all minimal contents too.
if the image is complex, it get exported and reimported perfectly.
    if are there solutions, thanks!
    have a nice mad day

    it's not true,
    sorry, don't waste your time,
i replicated in a new empty project and it works fine also playing with the opacity.
also with many laser outputs recording ilda at the same time, as it was.
    hmmm
    it's good
i'll go back to the big project and let you know

Ok I understand. I suppose the ILDA movie player was not set to 60 FPS for instance. When recording laser output to ILDA movie, the recording FPS is defined by the "Desired FPS" set in the laser output (60 by default).
There's no information in ILDA file that specifies a recommended playback FPS...

looks really absurd, every test of ilda export and import from the show project is damaged,
i tested many different fps (both output and movie in) and other settings, no way.
starting a new project from scratch, and remaking the same setup
(5 laser outputs + 5 laser quads + 1 laser Line on top + the same shader_ 60 fps),
works perfectly. the only difference is the amount of layers and osc connection, but it have no sense.

    this for the community:
to prevent of testing exery export, and prevent to export at all at the end,
I trashed ableton live and moved to Chataigne (https://benjamin.kuperberg.fr/chataigne/en),
once inserted a madmapper link, OSC works the best way i've ver seen (don't need to set the receiver's parameter),
manage LTC, and have a really powerful timeline.

    Hi Luca,
Can you send me your project file where ILDA export doesn't work ? I'll check what's happenning.
    Cheers
