Unable to open older project because I no longer have MadLaser

    Hi MadMappers!

About half a year ago I rented both MadMapper and MadLaser for 2-3 months and worked on a project. After a pause I decided today to get back into it and bought a perpetual license for MadMapper but not MadLaser (because I don't need it and it would have pushed the cost beyond my pain threshold).

Unfortunately, when I try to open my old .mad file to carry on working on it, I'm greeted with 65 dialogs saying that a MadLaser Material can't be used because I don't have the license, and after OK-ing all 65 of them, it borks out saying that I need to activate a MadLaser license and I'm left with an empty project.

A bit frustrating, since I'm not actually using the Laser - there's at most 1 scene in there with a MadLaser Material that I'm not actually interested in. Why can't it just skip all the Laser stuff and allow me to save a version without it?

Is there any way I could still open my project without renting MadLaser? Could someone from support open my project and save it without the MadLaser references, maybe?

(macOS 15.5, MadMapper 5.7.1, although the original project was saved with 5.5.x or 5.6.x)
